Online Application Period EXTENDED for DDI Mentorship Program

DDI 2018

September 25, 2023

The application period for the 2023 DDI Television
Mentorship Program is now closed.

Online applications are now open for the DGA Director Development Initiative (DDI) Mentorship Program's 2023 cycle. Created for members who aspire to direct or expand their directorial career in episodic television, the program aims to set our members up for success through professional development so that they can turn new opportunities into long-term careers. The Mentorship Program is open for all DGA members to apply.

Prospective applicants have until Friday, September 29, 2023 Friday, October 6, 2023 to submit their application materials online, with DGA staff prepared to provide technical support through the application process.

The DGA facilitates a West Coast program in Los Angeles and an East Coast program in New York. Up to 20 participants (for each coast) will be selected as "Protégés" for the Mentorship Program, and will be paired with a veteran television Director who will serve as their professional guide throughout 2024. Applicants are able to select the location they would like to participate in during the application process.

Since 2017, the Directors Guild has facilitated one of the industry’s most comprehensive Director development programs through the DDI Mentorship Program. The program provides emerging Directors with the opportunity to learn from seasoned episodic television Directors while providing access to career and craft building workshops.
