The Directors Guild Foundation (DGF) has a rich history of addressing the financial hardship of DGA members with compassion and discretion for more than seventy years.

“This has been a very difficult time in our industry and many of our members have faced significant hardship,” said DGF Chair Todd Holland. “The strikes may be over but we continue to hear from members daily how being out of work for so long has taken an extreme toll with savings and financial safety nets exhausted. And as markets contract many will continue to need financial assistance. We are proud that the Directors Guild Foundation has been able to help DGA members and our working crews.”

In the face of challenge, we’ve developed new assistance programs and issued the most loans in our history to achieve the following:

  • More than $600,000 in contributions for emergency relief – including $250,000 for immediate grants for DGA members through the new DGA Emergency Relief Fund administered by the MPTF.
  • Granted a record $450,000 in loans to date through our flagship Emergency Loan Fund program which has supported members with interest-free emergency loans of $3,000 and standard loans of $10,000.
  • Provided free flu shots to more than 400 DGA members and family at our annual Health Fairs on both coasts.
  • Sponsored 600 members through a six-part financial training seminar for Freelance Employees providing concrete skills to measure and manage personal finances.
  • And more....

We hope that you will join us in giving back to your DGA family in need. We are all grateful for your support.
