DGA Launches Podcast Series—The Director’s Cut

New DGA Podcast Series

December 15, 2015

Podcasts are increasingly becoming a story-telling presence in the culture today, and the DGA is proud to announce that we are launching our own podcast this month, The Director’s Cut.

The content for the first season will be drawn from our DGA Awards Q&A’s that follow select membership screenings in New York and Los Angeles. Each episode will present a director engaged in discussion with a fellow director in front of an audience of their peers, allowing for revealing conversations about the challenges, moments of self-doubt, and triumphs in creating their most recent films.

The first two episodes feature Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese discussing Bridge of Spies in New York, and Guillermo del Toro and Alejandro G. Iñárritu on Crimson Peak — with many more to come over the months ahead.

Episodes are currently available at SoundCloud.com, on iTunes, and here on www.dga.org. The video for these Director Q&A’s also will continue to be posted to the DGA website for viewing.
