Fox Global Directors Initiative Program Seeks Applicants

July 1, 2014

On July 1, 21st Century Fox and Fox Audience Strategy announced the launch of a new program, the Fox Global Directors Initiative (FDI).

The 10-month program will commence with an intensive, five-to-six week Fox Directors Lab where 20 participants will be invited to attend interactive lab sessions led by rotating mentors, as well as affiliated episodic and film directors.

Five finalists will then be selected to advance through the remainder of the initiative as Fox Director Fellows on current television and film productions. FDI Fellows will receive: (1) a business and production mentor within the Fox organization, (2) a fellowship stipend, (3) a grant from Fox to develop and direct a three-to-five minute short, and (4) the opportunity to be considered for a deal with a Fox entertainment business, such as the purchase of the FDI Fellow’s short and/or a Director Hold deal.

The Fox Global Directors Initiative program is open solely to nominated directors with professional directing experience in film and/or television, or new media. Nominations can be made by agencies, management companies and a select number of organizations identified by FOX which have a history of fostering strong emerging and developed talent from diverse backgrounds.

Submissions are being accepted now through Friday, August 29, 2014. For more information, please visit http://www.foxaudiencestrategy.com/directors/.
