Director Dan Fogelman discusses Life Itself

September 16, 2018 A DGA Q&A in Los Angeles

Multiple couples, all connected by a single event, are followed over several generations in Director Dan Fogelman’s new romantic drama, Life Itself.

Fogelman’s film centers on the story of a young New York couple (Oscar Isaac and Olivia Wilde), who experience unexpected twists of their journey from their college romance to marriage and the birth of their first child, creating reverberations that echo over continents and through lifetimes.

Following the DGA membership screening in Los Angeles on September 16, Fogelman sat down with Director Ron Howard (Solo: A Star Wars Story) to discuss the making of Life Itself.

In addition to Life Itself, Fogelman’s directorial credits include the feature film Danny Collins. He has been a DGA member since 2013.
