DGA Hires Assistant Executive Director Mary Hatch

September 17, 2018

Los Angeles – DGA National Executive Director Russell Hollander today announced that Mary Hatch is joining the DGA as Assistant Executive Director in the Guild's New York offices.

Hatch will be involved in the administration of the Guild’s film and television agreements and represent assistant directors and unit production managers in the eastern region. Hatch, who will report to Eastern Executive Director Neil Dudich, will also serve as staff liaison to the Guild's Eastern AD/UPM Council.

"We are very pleased to have Mary join our senior management team," said Hollander. "Her union experience will be a valuable asset in negotiating and enforcing DGA agreements. We look forward to putting her experience and skills to use in the service of our AD and UPM members."

Hatch has more than 10 years of experience in union organizations. Prior to joining the DGA, she worked for SAG-AFTRA in New York, where she began as an administrative assistant to the National Directors of News & Broadcast and Organizing at AFTRA before being promoted to a Contract Administrator in their Entertainment division and later a Business Representative for Television Contracts at SAG-AFTRA, New York; and finally, SAG-AFTRA’s Manager of Television and New Media Entertainment Contracts.

“Mary’s  ten years of experience working for a New York entertainment union – and all of the industry experience that comes with it – will make her an excellent representative for our Eastern AD/UPM members,” added Dudich.

Hatch received her B.A. from Loyola University Maryland.
