DGA, Coalition File Recommendation to Protect Against Copyright Infringement

In response to requests for comments from the Federal Communications Commission, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, and the Rural Utility Service on the establishment of the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) which seeks to provide broadband access to all Americans, the DGA, together with a coalition of guilds, media companies and other organizations, submitted joint filings to recommend that BTOP be developed in a way that does not inhibit Internet Service Providers from using reasonable measures to prevent or deter illegal activities such as digital piracy or copyright infringement from occurring on their networks.
