Thomas Schlamme Wins 2000 DGA Award for Dramatic Series Night

Thomas Schlamme was presented the 2000 DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series Night during the 53rd Annual DGA Awards Dinner on Saturday, March 10, 2001 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.

This is Schlamme's third win and sixth DGA Award nomination. He won the DGA Award in Comedy Series last year for the "Small Town" episode of Sports Night and was also nominated last year in the Dramatic Series Night category for the pilot of The West Wing. In 1998 he won the DGA Award in Comedy Series for the pilot of Sports Night. He was also nominated in 1997 for the Tracey Takes On... episode "1976" and in 1996 for the Tracey Takes On... episode "Romance."
