DGA National Executive Director Russell Hollander Participates in Roundtable Event at the 2025 Milken Institute Global Conference

During Hollywood and the Global Exodus: Restoring Stability to Filmed Entertainment in California and the United States, a roundtable event at this year’s Milken Global Conference, DGA National Executive Director Russell Hollander joined other entertainment industry leaders, policymakers, and government officials for a productive discussion on how to make the United States a more competitive market for film and TV production.

In a conversation moderated by Milken Institute Finance Executive Director Kevin Klowden, Hollander stressed the need for a comprehensive federal tax incentive, in addition to more robust incentives at the state level, to attract production back home and to maintain jobs that are already here.

Joining Hollander for the roundtable were California State Senator Ben Allen; California State Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur; California Governor’s Office, Business and Economic Development Director Dee Dee Myers; and DGA Director-member, Writer, Producer Jonathan Nolan.
