This is Mr. Roach's first DGA Award.
Four of the five nominees for the DGA's 2008 Movies for Television/Mini-Series award were present for the "Meet the Nominees" symposium held at DGA headquarters in Los Angeles on Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Following an introduction by DGA President Michael Apted, clips of each nominated film were shown and then moderator Mick Garris led the nominees in a brief discussion about the making of their films.
Nominee Mikael Salomon (The Andromeda Strain) was unable to attend.
