DGA CFO Reggie Barnes Retires, Guild Promotes Brian O'Rourke

July 01, 2009

DGA National Executive Director Jay D. Roth recently announced the retirement of DGA's Chief Financial Officer Reggie Barnes, who began working as DGA CFO in 1996. DGA Controller Brian O'Rourke will succeed Barnes as the Guild's new CFO.

"Reggie has been a valuable asset to the DGA for over 13 years," said Roth. "He has been an important part of our executive team and has worked long and hard to improve our financial systems and control costs."

"That mission will be continued by Brian O'Rourke, whose years of experience as the CFO of various corporations will now help guide the DGA."

A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, O'Rourke also holds an MBA from Loyola Marymount University. He has spent 30 years in finance and accounting in medium-sized and large manufacturing firms, with 20 years Controller/CFO experience. O'Rourke has been with the DGA since 2006.

"I am excited to be working with such a prestigious organization as the DGA," said O'Rourke. "I look forward to using my experience on behalf of all the members and staff of the Guild."

"I have enjoyed working with Jay and the rest of the staff to keep the DGA 'in the black' during my tenure," said Barnes. "And I feel great leaving the job in Brian's very capable hands."
