NY Assistant Director Training Program Adds New Trainees

September 01, 2008
The New York Assistant Director Training Program has accepted five new film/television trainees and two new trainees who will work almost exclusively in the production of television commercials.

The program is designed to provide opportunities for a limited number of individuals to become Assistant Directors of Motion Pictures. The two-year program features on-the-job training combined with seminars and special assignments and places trainees on the sets of various features, television series and commercials shooting primarily in the New York City vicinity. The trainees work under the supervision of DGA AD/UPM members until completion of the program, upon which they are qualified to join the DGA as Second Assistant Directors.
