Jean Frost named DGA Assistant Executive Director

The DGA has hired Jean Frost as an Assistant Executive Director in the New York office. Frost will be overseeing enforcement of the DGA Basic Agreement and will serve as the staff liaison to the Eastern AD/UPM/TC Council.

“We are very fortunate to have Jean Frost come on board as a member of our senior management team," said DGA National Executive Director Jay D. Roth. “Her experience and skills will play a key role in negotiating and enforcing DGA film agreements in our New York office."

"Jean is an outstanding addition to our East Coast team," said Eastern Executive Director Russ Hollander. "Her abilities will prove an invaluable asset in the service of the DGA membership.”

“I am excited to have been asked to become part of the DGA team,” said Frost. “I look forward to the challenges and achievements ahead.”

Prior to joining the DGA staff Frost was the Director of Agency, Member and Mentor Services/EEO for the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists’ (AFTRA) Los Angeles Local where she was responsible for agent relations, interpretation of AFTRA’s Agency Franchise Agreement, developing programs for members to gain access to employment through though various program initiatives and member training programs and seminars. She also developed the AFTRA/Museum of Television and Radio Mentor Program, where broadcast journalism and performing arts college students interacted with industry professionals. Previous to that she worked in casting, gathering credits on several features, and television programs.

Frost has a degree in theater arts from Los Angeles City College and studied English Literature at Hunter College, and management and negotiating at UCLA.
