Deborah Gaines Joins Guild Staff in New York

The DGA has hired Deborah M. Gaines as an Assistant Executive Director in the New York office. Gaines will be overseeing all issues pertaining to tape/television operations on the East Coast for DGA Directors, Associate Directors, Stage Managers, and Production Assistants.

“We are very fortunate to have Debbie Gaines come on board as a member of our senior management team," said DGA National Executive Director Jay D. Roth. “Her labor relations experience provides her with the skills required to play a key role in negotiating and enforcing DGA agreements in our New York office."

"Debbie is an outstanding addition to our East Coast team," said Eastern Executive Director Russ Hollander. "Her abilities will prove an invaluable asset in the service of the DGA membership.”

Prior to joining the DGA staff Debbie was General Counsel for the New York City Mayor's Office of Labor Relations where she ran the legal division, which handled the City's labor litigation and labor negotiations. She has also worked as a Vice President of Human Resources for the financial firm Goldman, Sachs & Co. and was Director of Employee Relations for Asarco, Inc., a non-ferrous metal producer.
