On October 4, the Directors Guild Foundation (DGF) Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament took place at The Trophy Room in Hollywood. The tables filled and the excitement built as 130 DGA members, guests and sponsors assembled for an evening of fun and competition. The event was a fundraiser created to benefit the Foundation; a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting DGA members experiencing financial hardship.
As they welcomed the players to the evening, the Tournament’s Co-Chairs, Cleve Landsberg and Gil Cates, Jr., acknowledged the work of the Tournament’s host committee, the contributions from an impressive list of sponsors, and thanked all the individuals whose participation made the evening possible.
After hours of friendly play, the competitors were winnowed down to a final table where UPM Josh Bachove drew the winning hand and was awarded the grand prize.
