Marti Noxon discusses To the Bone

In Director Marti Noxon’s new drama, To the Bone, a young woman suffering from a severe eating disorder finds help in the form of an unusual clinic run by an unconventional doctor.

Noxon’s film tells the story of Ellen, an unruly 20-year-old anorexic who has failed at various recovery programs in the past. Desperate for a solution, her family sends her to a group home led by a non-traditional doctor whose rules force Ellen to truly confront her addiction in order to find a path to survival.

Following the DGA membership screening in Los Angeles on August 15, Noxon sat down with Director Rick Rosenthal (Drones) to discuss the making of To the Bone.

To the Bone is Noxon’s feature directing debut. Her other credits include episodes of the television series Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Noxon has been a DGA member since 2000.
