Director Mike Mills (Does Your Soul Have a Cold?; Thumbsucker) gave a glimpse into his process in making his latest feature, Beginners, after the Los Angeles screening on June 26.
In the film, both hilarity and confusion ensue when Oliver (Ewan McGregor) is rocked by the news that his elderly father (Christopher Plummer) has come out of the closet after 44 years of marriage and is finally free and happy with his young male lover, but is also suffering from terminal cancer.
Director Charles Herman-Wurmfeld (The Hammer) served as moderator of the discussion.
