Director George Clooney (Good Night, and Good Luck; Leatherheads) discussed how he brought Beau Willimon’s stage play The Ides of March to the screen.
In the film, an idealistic staffer (Ryan Gosling) is thrust into the world of dirty political games while working on the campaign of a presidential candidate.
Clooney, who also starred as the presidential candidate, spoke about the film with Director Doug McGrath (I Don’t Know How She Does It), who moderated the discussion in New York on October 15, and Director Alejandro González Iñárritu (Biutiful), who moderated the Los Angeles discussion on October 30.
