In the Los Angeles DGA Theater on June 30, director Chris Weitz (The Twilight Saga: New Moon; The Golden Compass) spoke about the challenges of making his new film, A Better Life.
The film tells the moving story of Carlos (Demian Bichir), an illegal immigrant gardener in East L.A. who struggles to make a living while avoiding the gangs and immigration agents in an attempt to give his son the opportunities he never had.
Director Stephen Gaghan (Syriana) served as the moderator.
