From April 28 - May 07, Visual Communications presented a program of feature films, shorts and videos during the 27th Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival (LAAPFF).

Presented by Visual Communications, LAAPFF is the southern California’s premier showcase for Asian Pacific cinema. Since 1983, the Festival has presented over 3,400 films and videos by Asian international and Asian American artists, and additionally features seminars and panels, in-person guest appearances, and filmmaker awards.

As part of its continuing outreach to independent filmmakers on April 29, the Guild hosted a brunch for LAAPFF Filmmakers with DGA Asian American Committee Co-Chair Chris Tashima and former Committee Co-Chairs Henry Chan and Ron Dempsey on hand to answer questions from the participants about the ever-changing workplace and the advantages of DGA membership.
