The Assistant Director Training Program (ADTP) provides opportunities for a limited number of individuals to become Assistant Directors.

The focus of this two-year program is on-the-job training, along with seminars and special assignments. Trainees become employees of a wide variety of feature films, TV series and commercials shot primarily in the New York City vicinity where they will work under the supervision of DGA AD/UPM members until completion of the program.

The new film trainees are Emma Barber, Alyssa Frankel, Mari Martinez, Mike McGuirk, Dixon McPhillips and Aidan Tumas; and the new commercial trainees are Gabe Blom, Alfonso Graham and Ian Lynch.

Congratulations are also in order to Film Program graduates Sarah Fairchild, Jessica Pollini, Jamiyl Campbell and Rachel Iovine and commercial program graduates Sergio Borrero and Nelson Quinones, all of whom are now qualified to join the Guild as 2nd ADs.
