On October 14, the DGA's Independent Directors Committee West (IDC) hosted a screening of R.J. Cutler's feature documentary, The September Issue, in the Guild's Los Angeles Theatre complex.

The film is a behind-the-scenes view into the world of Vogue magazine, as its legendary fashionista editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and creative director Grace Coddington prepare the 2007 edition of the magazine's annual Fall Fashion issue, the biggest single issue in Vogue's history.

Following the screening and an introduction by IDC member Rick King (Sherman's March), Cutler (A Perfect Candidate, American High) discussed the making of his 2009 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Award nominated film with Director Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight).
