On April 18, the DGA African American Steering Committee (AASC) invited DGA director-member Patrik-Ian Polk and his team to discuss their journey in turning the Internet sensation Noah's Arc to the first scripted series on the Logo network, and from there into the feature film Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom.

Polk's film was recently nominated for an NAACP Image Award. Polk and members of his directing team and cast shared candid stories about how he got his indie project off the computer and onto the big screen.

Polk has been a member of the Guild since 2006.
