On Tuesday, November 11, following a brief committee meeting, the Women's Steering Committee (WSC) presented the event Moving Your Career, Making Your Film: A Special Conversation with Producer Thomas Ethan Harris in the boardroom of the Guild's Los Angeles headquarters.

The evening was designed to address the importance for filmmakers to think more deeply and creatively about the construction of their images with Harris, American Cinematheque’s Film Series Producer/Lecturer, serving up ideas on how best to do so.

During the seminar, Harris spoke about the necessity of moving beyond basic forms of cinematic language and content and used film clips as inspirational illustrations designed to open a dialogue with the members.
