On Tuesday, September 11, 2007, the DGA hosted a reception for the directing category nominees of the 59th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards at Guild Headquarters in Los Angeles. DGA Secretary-Treasurer Gil Cates and Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) Chairman and CEO Dick Askin presented the attending nominees with their official Emmy Nomination Certificates.
