On Saturday, August 25, DGA members gathered in Los Angeles’ DGA Theatre 2 for the seminar “How’d They Do That? Visual Effects Wizardry in Episodic Television.” Presented by the Western AD/UPM/TC Council and the AD/UPM/TC VFX/Digital Technology Committee, the seminar featured VFX Producers and Supervisors from the shows Heroes, Smallville and Ugly Betty, who revealed how they create big screen visual effects on an episodic television budget and schedule.
