On Wednesday, June 14, 2006 the Women's Steering Committee hosted a networking mixer designed to assist below-the-line women members of the Guild in increasing career opportunities via a series of one-on-one sessions with Unit Production Managers and Production Executives with hiring authority.

Guests attending the Los Angeles event included: Producer/Director Jim Michaels (Everybody Hates Chris); UPM/Director Sasha Schneider (Commander In Chief); Producers Bob Del Valle, (Six Feet Under) and Craig Wyrick-Solari (One on One); Independent Producers Jason Fisher (Movie Club), Bill Immerman (Ray) and Ginger Perkins (The Game of Their Lives); Coordinating Producer John C. Fisher (The Young & The Restless); Co- Producer Hilton Smith (Deadwood); Producer/UPMs Jason Shubb (Reba), Jerram Swartz (Oliver Beene), Jim Weis (Twenty Questions); Co- Producer/UPM Herb Adelman, (Criminal Minds); Line Producer/UPM Ken Ornstein (My Boys); and UPMs Mark Bashaar (Close to Home), Mark Headley (Brainiacs.com), Carla McCloskey (The Gilmore Girls), John Garvin Smith (Cold Case), and Sally Young (In Justice).

Each VIP participant was also presented with a resume booklet of all the DGA participants.
