On Saturday, February 11, 2006 the Asian American Committee invited DGA members and their families to a special preview screening of Director Sandy Tung’s feature film Saving Shiloh.
The film is the third part of a trilogy of popular and critically acclaimed family films based on Shiloh, a Newberry Award-winning book. Tung, who is a co-chair of the AAC, also directed the second film of the trilogy, Shiloh 2: Shiloh Season.
Tung and 1st AD Ron Dempsey led a post screening discussion on the making of the film with producers Dale Rosenbloom and Carl Borack, casting person Laura Schiff, DP Lex du Pont, composer Adam Gorgoni, animal trainer Genny Kerns, and cast members Liberty Smith, Jordon Garrett, and Jason Dolley. After the discussion, the attendees were all invited to a reception in the DGA Atrium.
