n Thursday, November 17, 2005 women DGA director-members were invited to attend an evening of mixing and mingling with executives, executive producers and show runners whose responsibilities include directorial hiring decisions on television shows.

The producers who attended the Los Angeles event were DGA First Vice President Paris Barclay, Co-Executive Producer, Cold Case; Mike Azzolino, Director of Television Series, Jerry Bruckheimer Television; Matthew Carlson, Executive Producer, Malcolm in the Middle; Elizabeth Devine, Co-Executive Producer, CSI: Miami; Jim Michaels, Producer, Everybody Hates Chris; Erin Nowocinski, Director, Current Programming, Imagine Television; and Julie Siege, Writer, Invasion.

Produced by WSC member Rena Sternfeld, the event was held as part of the WSC’s mission to increase career opportunities for women director members, the event gave these directors the chance to expand their professional contacts by meeting with the guests one-on-one.
