The purpose of Roth and Hollander’s visit was to meet members in Chicago, update them on current Guild activities and issues, and have a discussion about matters of concern to Midwest area members. “It was a pleasure to meet with the Chicago membership and an honor to have so many members attend,’ said Roth. “Our lively discussion is indicative of the fact that democracy is alive and well in the DGA. I enjoyed hearing from the members what the DGA is doing well and learning what we can do better in our efforts to provide the best possible service to members of the Guild wherever they live.”
DGA-Producer Pension and Health Plans COO Lisa Read was on-hand for two days to conduct one-on-one sessions with members and answer questions about the Plans. The meetings were very popular and well received so another round of sessions for Chicago members is planned for the late spring or early summer. Members who were unable to attend but still have questions should contact the DGA-Producer Pension and Health Plans office in Los Angeles at (323) 866-2200 or (877) 866-2200 (toll free outside of Los Angeles).
