On Tuesday, August 9, 2005 the DGA and Film Independent (FIND) presented the “Best of the Los Angeles Film Festival.”

Following a welcome address by DGA Western Executive Director Bryan Unger, the evening featured screenings of the festival award winners: Jellysmoke (Target Filmmaker Award for Best Narrative Feature) Directed by Mark Banning and Everyone Their Grain of Sand (Target Documentary Award for Best Documentary Feature) Directed by Beth Bird. Both Directors were on-hand for Q&A sessions following the screenings, moderated by FIND Senior Programmer Doug Jones and FIND Director of Programming Rachel Rosen.
