On Saturday, January 22, 2005 the Executive Committee of the DGA's SFCC Committee welcomed members to their Annual General Membership Meeting & Reception at the venerable Concordia-Argonaut Club in San Francisco. Thirty-six Northern California members from all categories attended the meeting.

On hand to report on Guild matters for the Business Meeting were Guild President Michael Apted, Assistant Executive Director Rodney Mitchell, and Field Rep Don Gold. About a dozen guests attended the reception, including newly-appointed Executive Director of the SF Film Office Stefanie Pleet Coyote and the new Executive Director of the Treasure Island production facilities, former SF Supervisor Tony Hall.

Local author James Dallesandro whose documentary on the 1906 San Francisco earthquake is in post-production, also made an appearance and met with prospective members for several new projects he's working on including a feature and a series set in San Francisco.
