DGA helps lead successful effort to pass California Film and Television Job Retention and Promotion Act, which expands, improves and extends California production incentive program for five years and more than triples its funding. King Vidor helped bring directors together to form the Guild and became its first president during the early, perilous years. His legacy as a great filmmaker and fighter for directors' rights continues today.
