JEFF BLECKNER Mr. Bleckner's Directorial Team: First Assistant Director: Richard Peter Schroer This is Jeff Bleckner's fourth DGA nomination. He was previously nominated for The Beach Boys: An American Family in 2000 and went on to win the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Movies for Television that year; he was also nominated for Do You Remember Love? in 1985. "Life in the Minors" (Hill Street Blues) garnered him the nomination and DGA Award for Television, Dramatic Series Night in 1983. |
ROD HOLCOMB This is Rod Holcomb's third DGA nomination. He was nominated for ER (pilot) in 1994 and went on to win the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Movies for Television that year. He was also nominated for China Beach (pilot) in 1988. |
RICHARD LONCRAINE This is Richard Loncraine's second DGA nomination. He was also nominated in 2002 for The Gathering Storm. |

This is Mike Nichols' fourth DGA nomination and his first in the category of Movies for Television. He has been nominated for three of his feature films: Working Girl in 1988, The Graduate in 1967, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? in 1966. He won the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for The Graduate.
This year, Mike Nichols was selected to receive the 2004 DGA Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his distinguished career in motion picture directing. As the Guild's highest tribute, the Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Nichols at the 56th Annual DGA Awards on February 7, 2004.
