Ang Lee and Steven Soderbergh Participate in DGA's 10th Annual Meet the Nominees: Feature Film Symposium

2000 DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film nominees Ang Lee, (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and Steven Soderbergh, (Erin Brockovich and (Traffic) took part in the 10th Annual Meet The Nominees: Feature Film Symposium this morning at the DGA Headquarters in Los Angeles. DGA President Jack Shea welcomed a standing room only audience of fellow DGA members to the proceedings that began with a screening of five-minute clips from the nominated directors’ films. The two nominees then took the stage with director Jeremy Kagan (The Chosen) who moderated the panel discussion about the directorial process, from pre- to post-production, and the art and craft of directing. Fellow nominees Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous) and Ridley Scott (Gladiator) were unable to attend.

The winner will be announced at the 53rd Annual DGA Awards to be held at the Century Plaza Hotel later this evening. Check this website for constant updates of the winners.
