On May 2, the DGA’s San Francisco Coordinating Committee (SFCC) hosted a gathering of members from all categories to the 2026 edition of their Annual General Membership Meeting and Reception. SFCC Chair John M. Morse welcomed the attendees for an afternoon of reports, elections and camaraderie.
After Morse’s welcome, San Francisco Film Commissioner Manijah Fata gave a presentation on the newly expanded San Francisco City Tax Incentive. Then DGA Director of Commercial Contracts Winona Wacker, the staff liaison for the Committee, delivered a report on the state of the Guild, the membership and production in the Bay Area, and introduced DGA Field Representative Beth Dubber who will be assuming those liaison duties.
Following Wacker’s briefing, the official business concluded with the election for the four open seats to the committee followed by nomination and election of candidates for the SFCC Executive Committee.
Director Ted Leonard, UPMs Debbie Brubaker and Jani Vournas and 2nd AD Cindy Taylor were elected to serve until 2029. Continuing to serve on the SFCC Executive Committee until 2027 are Directors Steve Condiotti, Amyn Kaderali and Daniel Lozano, 1st AD Rachel Caproni and 2nd AD Jason Halley.
The SFCC officers for 2026-2027 are: Rachel Caproni as Chair, Ted Leonard re-elected as Vice-Chair and Cindy Taylor re-elected as Secretary.
About the Committee:
The SFCC was formed in 1978 to coordinate Guild activities in the Bay Area. The Committee hosts a number of educational presentations and networking events during the year.
