Eastern UPM Breakfast 2020

Making Content in the Time of COVID: Current Trends and the Future of Eastern Production

November 7, 2020 An Eastern AD/UPM Council UPM Virtual Breakfast

On November 7, the Eastern AD/UPM Council’s Annual UPM Breakfast went virtual. During this invitation-only event hosted by the UPM Committee, Production Managers had an opportunity to learn from their fellows and ask questions during the online panel discussion, Making Content in the Time of COVID: Current Trends and the Future of Eastern Production.

Following an introduction by UPM Committee Co-Chairs Frank Covino (Blue Bloods), Lynn Appelle (Florida Girls) and Thomas Whelan (Evil), Covino was joined by UPMs Todd Arnow (Chicago Fire), Chris Bongirne (Plan B), Samantha Dyer (Younger), Holly Rymon (The Gilded Age) and Canella Williams-Larrabee (Raising Dion) for a frank and open panel discussion moderated by UPM Leslie Gyson (The Photograph). The panelists focused on productions that are shooting in the Eastern Region and how they are addressing the challenges of working in the COVID safety environment.

Following the moderated discussion, the panel also took questions submitted by the online audience and then heard from Assistant Executive Director Mary Hatch regarding the Guild's Return to Work Agreement.
