Directors Nat Faxon and Jim Rash discuss Downhill

February 15, 2020 A DGA Q&A in New York

A married couple is thrown into disarray following a near catastrophe in Directors Nat Faxon and Jim Rash’s new comedic-drama, Downhill.

Inspired by Ruben Östlund’s 2014 feature Force Majeure, Downhill tells the story of how a married couple is forced to reevaluate their relationship after barely escaping an avalanche during a family ski vacation in the Alps.

Following the DGA membership screening in New York on February 15, Faxon and Rash sat down with Director Jenna Ricker (The American Side) to discuss the making of Downhill.

In addition to Downhill, Faxon and Rash’s credits include the feature film The Way Way Back; the movie for television Fatrick; and episodes of the series Community. Both have been DGA members since 2014.
