A marriage disintegrates as a family tries to stay together in Director Noah Baumbach’s new romantic comedy-drama, Marriage Story.
Baumbach’s film tells the story of a stage director (Adam Driver) and his actor wife (Scarlett Johansson) as they struggle through a grueling, coast-to-coast divorce that pushes them to their personal and creative extremes.
Following the DGA membership screening in Los Angeles on November 3, Noah Baumbach sat down with Director Peter Bogdanovich (She's Funny That Way) to discuss the making of Marriage Story. He also spoke about the film in a conversation moderated by Director Ben Stiller (Zoolander 2) after the DGA membership screening in New York on November 9.
In addition to Marriage Story, Noah Baumbach’s credits include the feature films The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected), Mistress America, While We're Young, Frances Ha, Margot at the Wedding, The Squid and the Whale and Kicking and Screaming. Baumbach has been a DGA member since 2004.
