SAG-AFTRA Contracts Breakfast in Atlanta, GA

Nearly 50 DGA members attended a SAG-AFTRA Contracts breakfast in Atlanta, Georgia. Hosted by the DGA Assistant Director Training Program (ADTPNY) and the Eastern AD/UPM Council, on March 24, the attendees gathered at Georgia State University’s Student Center West to learn more about the contracts covering the employment of principals and minors under the SAG-AFTRA Codified Basic Agreement.

Following a welcome from ADTP Administrator Sandra Forman, DGA Senior Field Rep Bart Daudelin introduced SAG-AFTRA’s Theatrical Contracts Director Stephanie Perry, Television & New Media Contracts Director Steve Meicke, National Director of Field Services Jim Damis and National Director of Stunts and Safety Cedric Jackson. The executives then led the attendees in an in-depth discussion about the rules and regulations that apply to the employment of actors. The session ended with the panelists answering questions submitted by the participants.


About the ADTPNY

The New York DGA Assistant Director Training Program is designed to provide opportunities for a limited number of individuals to become Assistant Directors in Film, Film Television & Commercial production. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to join the DGA as Second Assistant Directors..

About the Council

The Eastern AD/UPM Council is the elected body that represents the nearly 1,700 Assistant Director and Unit Production Manager members of the Guild who reside and/or work in film, television, commercials and new media the East and Midwest regions.
