Elliot Lester discusses Aftermath

Elliott Lester discusses Aftermath

May 7, 2017 A DGA Q&A in Los Angeles

A devastating plane crash inextricably binds two strangers together in Director Elliott Lester’s new dramatic thriller, Aftermath.

Inspired by actual events, Lester’s tale of guilt and revenge reveals the story of what happens when an air traffic controller named Jake Bonanos (Scoot McNairy) commits an error that leads to the death of construction foreman Roman Melnyk’s (Arnold Schwarzenegger) wife and pregnant daughter. Trying to make sense of his loss but unable to let it go, Roman blames Jake for the tragedy and demands answers in person.

Following the DGA membership screening in Los Angeles on May 7, Lester sat down with Director Gregory Plotkin (Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension) to discuss the making of Aftermath.

In addition to Aftermath, Lester’s credits include the feature films Sleepwalker, Blitz and Love Is the Drug; the Emmy Award-nominated movie for television Nightingale; episodes of the television series Will, Containment and Chop Shop; and the video short Hilary Duff: Why Not. Lester has been a DGA member since 2005.
