Director Noah Baumbach discusses The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected)

October 18, 2017 A DGA Q&A in New York

An estranged family celebrates the life and work of their artistic father in Director Noah Baumbach’s new comedic drama, The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected).

Baumbach’s film is the emotional and comic intergenerational tale of adult siblings (Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, and Elizabeth Marvel) who converge in New York to attend an event dedicated to their strong-willed artist father (Dustin Hoffman) and his fading legacy and deal with the long shadow he has cast over their lives.

Following the New York DGA membership screening on October 18, Baumbach sat down with Director Brian De Palma (Passion) to discuss the making of The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected).

In addition to The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected), Baumbach’s credits include the feature films Mistress America, While We're Young, Frances Ha, Margot at the Wedding, The Squid and the Whale and Kicking and Screaming. Baumbach has been a DGA member since 2004.
