Baby Driver

Edgar Wright discusses Baby Driver

July 6, 2017 A DGA Q&A in Los Angeles

A wunderkind wheel man finds himself enmeshed in a doomed heist in Director Edgar Wright’s new crime thriller, Baby Driver.

Wright’s pedal-to-the-metal film injects audiences into the life of Baby, a talented young getaway driver who can do practically anything with a car so long as he’s accompanied by the beat of his personal soundtrack. After meeting the woman of his dreams, Baby is looking to leave his life of crime, but he’s coerced into one last caper by his crime boss employer. When things go awry, all his skills will be put to the test if he has any hope of survival.

Following the July 6 DGA membership screening in Los Angeles, Wright sat down with Director Christopher Nolan (Dunkirk) to discuss the making of Baby Driver.

In addition to Baby Driver, Wright’s credits include the feature films The World's End, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Hot Fuzz and the BAFTA Award-nominated Shaun of the Dead; as well as episodes of the television series Spaced, Sir Bernard's Stately Homes and Asylum. Wright has been a DGA member since 2008.
