Arie Posin: The Face of Love

March 15, 2014 A Director Q&A in Los Angeles

Questions of attraction and how we cope with loss are explored in Director Arie Posin’s new feature The Face of Love.

Posin’s film tells the story of Nikki (Annette Bening), a grieving widow who meets Tom (Ed Harris), who is the physical and mental doppelganger of her late beloved husband Garrett. As their new romance begins, her inability to admit the truth about what drew her to him complicates their relationship in myriad ways.

Posin spoke about the making of the film in a conversation with Director Karyn Kusama (Jennifer's Body) after the DGA screening in Los Angeles on March 15.

Posin’s other works include the feature film The Chumscrubber and the short Over My Dead Body. He has been a member of the DGA since 2004.
