DGA members got an overview of the New Media world when the DGA Latino Committee hosted the discussion Understanding the Power Shift: The Online World is Not Just Another Distribution Channel! following their regular monthly meeting at DGA Headquarters in Los Angeles on May 20.
Director/Producer/Showrunner Alejandro Treviño conducted a multimedia presentation that enabled the audience to hone in on specific areas of New Media and understand how this emerging platform is shifting the ways that content is circulated and viewed. Following the exhibition, Treviño answered questions from the audience.
Treviño’s filmography includes directing and producing episodes of the online series La Chamba and Si! Es I, Pepe; and brand-integrated Denny’s Restaurants video spots for the website Funny or Die. He has been a member of the DGA since 2013.
