On October 11, the DGA-Producer Pension and Health Plans (DGA-PPHP) hosted its second annual health fair, exclusively for DGA members and their families.  Held in the Grand Lobby of Guild headquarters in Los Angeles, this half-day event featured a free flu shot clinic as well as seminars by DGA-PPHP staff on the diverse set of benefits available to DGA members such as details about the Pension Plan, information on eligibility and a presentation on benefits.

The fair was also attended by representatives from the Actors Fund who gave a presentation on Covered California, the state’s health insurance marketplace for those not covered by the Health Plan. Also on hand were representatives from UCLA Health/Motion Picture & Television Fund, Express Scripts, Delta Dental and Vision Service Plan who where there to answer questions related to these benefits.  As a bonus, the fair also offered free neck and shoulder massages and a raffle where attendees were able to win a variety of prizes including a brand new iPad mini.

The 2014 Health Fair was open to all DGA Members, not just current DGA-PPHP participants and the DGA Foundation covered the cost of flu shots for participants not covered under the Health Plan.
