Joshua Michael Stern: Jobs

Can a single man’s passion and drive change the world? The question is posed in Director Joshua Michael Stern’s latest feature, Jobs.

Stern’s biographical drama charts the story of legendary inventor and entrepreneur Steve Jobs, who went from college dropout to the force behind Apple Computers, taking the company from a garage-based start-up to the innovative tech giant it is today.

After the DGA screening in Los Angeles on August 25, Stern sat down with Director Ariel Vromen (The Iceman) to discuss how he tackled the challenge of mounting a film about an icon known by so many.

In addition to Jobs, Stern’s other feature films include the presidential election comedy Swing Vote, and the fantasy drama Neverwas. He has been a DGA member since 2009.
