Judd Apatow: This Is 40

December 14, 2012 Director Q&As in Los Angeles and New York

Director Judd Apatow (Funny People, The 40 Year Old Virgin) takes a comedic look inside the life of an American family and the challenges and rewards of marriage and parenthood in his new feature This Is 40, the sequel to his 2007 hit (Knocked Up). Reprising their roles at Pete and Debbie, Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann portray a husband and wife both approaching a milestone meltdown as they endure a three-week navigation of sex and romance, career triumphs and financial hardships, aging parents and maturing children. The couple must figure out how to forgive, forget and enjoy the rest of their lives, before they kill each other. Apatow discussed the making of the film with director Jay Roach (The Campaign) after the DGA screening in Los Angeles on December 14.
