Nefarious applications of time travel are explored in director Rian Johnson’s new sci-fi adventure Looper. In the film, a hitman (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) in the year 2044 disposes of people sent back in time by his bosses from the year 2074. He misses his target when he recognizes a victim as his future self (Bruce Willis) and inadvertently allows him to escape. Johnson (The Brothers Bloom, Brick) discussed the making of the film with director Edward Zwick (Love and Other Drugs), who moderated the discussion following the October 4 Los Angeles DGA membership screening.
