1999 DGA Dramatic Series Award-winning Director David Chase (The Sopranos) discussed the making of his love letter to 1960s rock & roll, Not Fade Away. In Chase’s feature film debut, a teenage drummer from suburban New Jersey sets out to make it big by starting a rock band with a few of his friends. Chase spoke about his passion project with director David Fincher (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), who moderated the discussion following the DGA screening in Los Angeles on December 1, and with director Barry Levinson (You Don’t Know Jack), who moderated the conversation in New York on December 2.
